The professional parts of me
- Entrepreneur — since 2008, I’ve been starting, running and growing businesses, including buying, selling, and partnering. I know well what it takes to make a successful business run and grow and all the technical and functional parts of a business.
- Leader — I’m a people-centric and coaching leader. And I’m most proud of how I led those companies, teams and customers as CEO. The people I recruited, empowered and worked with have went on to work at Twitter, LinkedIn, Automattic, national food chains, among others.
- Marketer — my entire career has been spent in marketing and communications work of all kinds, from newspaper and magazine publishing, to public relations/communications roles and leveraging all those experiences on the Internet and applying them as critical parts of the businesses I’ve ran.
- Coach/Advisor — I love supporting others on their journeys, from fellow founders to professionals, by listening, sharing relevant experiences and being a sidekick and thought partners as they make key decisions.

The personal parts of me
Husband/Father — my Core Three — Lindsey, Caloway, Lillian — are the center of my life. When I have fallen, busted my nose and cried at life, they just love me. For me. They inspire me, support me, encourage me and ultimately free me to do the work I do in the world that gives me great fulfillment. They are my muse for all of what has come or is to come. (Love you babes!)
Mental Health — I started sharing my personal mental health story in 2015 to help erase the stigma and inspire others to take their next steps.
