Over at iThemes, we just released a new feature-filled tutorial website with dozens of resources on how to use WordPress as a CMS.
The collection of tutorials is designed to be a one-stop resource for everything you need to know, including links, video tutorials, and basic features of how to leverage WP as an affordable, easy-to-use CMS for you and your clients.

For the past 7 months or so, the iThemes website has been a severely hacked and slashed version of Brian’s awesome themes by yours truly … and this week we just unveiled a total site makeover and I think is worthy of our brand and what we offer at iThemes.
It was designed by Brian White and coded by Nathan Rice (great work, guys!) … as I mentioned on the post announcement, it’s still a work in progress as we iron out some of the things usually involved in a web redesign.

We believe WordPress can be used to run small business websites … although it was originally created as blog software, and that’s what it’s famous for, we’re trying showcase WordPress as a full-fledged content management system.

Although the article talks about “blogs” versus conventional websites, if you follow what I’ve written here (WordPress is blog software that we think is also a great small business CMS), then you can see that we believe all these 13 benefits apply to WordPress and a good theme designed specifically for small businesses!

Main Street Open who handles all of our custom/modification requests at iThemes has announced a one-day Intermediate WordPress Developer Training seminar in Oklahoma City on Saturday, Aug. 2.
This would be a great seminar who those interested in developing websites and plugins in WordPress.
