One time I decided I was going to try very simple gardening with the kids.
We went to the gardening store, got some supplies and seeds and came home.
Naturally, I lost interest because they didn’t start growing immediately.
Over the course of a couple of weeks our efforts waned and eventually the gardening experiment lost its luster.
So we took the beginning gardening pots and dumped them into my mother in laws compost pile.
Weeks later my MIL is excited as she said squash was growing in her compost pile.
Now I don’t specifically remember getting squash but I go:
That’s my squash!
My takeaway:
You never know what your efforts will bring forth. And that even in the chaos or perceived failure and wasted efforts something grows out of it.
