I fight perfectionism constantly.
I blow things up to overkill easily. I over-inflate them. I plus 100 most things.
And then I get overwhelmed and I never get stared or it never gets done or released.
Pressfield would call this the “resistance.”
To overcome this … I’ve been asking myself and focusing on the question:
What is the minimum?
Now as an achiever, it pains me to even type the word minimum. Or sometimes to think about it.
I’m not a bare minimum person I’m a 10x max it out kind of driven person.
But it’s helped me a ton get started or move things past the finish line by lowering the barrier.
And then I concentrate on stacking minimums. But again that’s the achiever wanting to go fast.
And what I want most is to get started, to make consistent progress, to fight inertia and the resistance.
