On Business Blindspots

One of the great advantages I’ve had in my first year of building my first company was two partners, then eventually a team of people around me, to prevent blindspots in my vision.

Each of them offers a new perspective on my ideas, the problems I encounter, and I’ve relished it. Although I love pursuing my own ideas and dreams and don’t like to see them shot to pieces, they also need fine-tuning and balance.

I’m an idea guy. And because our team and partners are different than me, this diversity has helped in the direction that we pursue.

I’ve seen the other side of this. When you’re on an island and alone, you can make horrible decisions. You can do stupid things in your business.
