At some point when I was a kid someone said: “Cory Jess(e) is a mess.”

And it stuck.

And it became a recurring line for my inner voice.

And the voice uses it when I don’t hit perfection. So pretty much all the time. But it is especially loud and prevalent when I feel things in my life are chaotic.

It has been a point of emphasis as I do my work.

In work of acceptance and even embrace of my imperfection, I’ve been thinking about The Mess.

So working to transform The Mess from negative to positive into … The Beautiful Mess.

It’s part of my garden too.

A book (that I can’t recall offhand) mentioned getting into nature and just noticing how the forest or trees are all imperfect and messy but natural and organic.

The mess is reality. Life is messy. We are perfectly imperfect. I am too.

The imperfect is beautifully and elegant.

And so am I.

Cory Jess(e) … the Big Beautiful Mess.
