My business mentor asked me 15 years ago or so, What’s the difference between leading and managing?
I’m idealistic I realize and admit … but I’ve always felt there is a stark contrast between Leading and Managing.
- We manage things, time, tasks, projects, priorities.
- And we lead people, clearly connecting to purpose, to belonging, to contribution.
I’ve seen when you do these two things well … magic happens.
