It’s been a long week for our trio on the theme team (Chris Jean, Justin Kopepasah and Cody Smith) with many nights past midnight working to get final details ironed out and tested before launch.
Of course I’m proud of our work … but iThemes Builder launched almost three years ago with a layout engine I had never seen in a WordPress theme, setting it apart from the pack of “static” themes. Our goal was to offer a theme framework where you could easily tweak your layout without having to touch CSS.
Imagine trying to build a responsive theme with an infinite number of user-defined layouts — that’s the challenge poised to Chris, Koop and Cody. (So glad we have this many brilliant people on our team who are able to execute on a tight deadline. WOW!)
This was the biggest redesign project I’ve ever been a part of. It’s also definitely the one of the most complex WordPress design projects I’ve even heard of as we have hundreds of pages and posts, integrations with our ecommerce/membership and forum software, and we really wanted drink our own Kool-Aid and use iThemes Builder, our star WordPress theme, with it for maximum flexibility.
